fractura en mi costilla!
well, so much has happened since my last post, and you will find out why in a minute. We had a week off work and went on vacation. We visited Panajachel near Atitlan and had a great time. The we went and saw Batman (amazing movie, btw). Oh yeah, that means By The Way for you older people :) then we went to a beautiful resort in San Jose, Guatemala for 2 days. About an hour before we were going to leave, I decided to rent an ATV and going driving up and down the gorgeous black sand beach. I was having an amazing time and was thinking about what a ridiculous amount of fun I was having and was trying to spin doughnuts on the sand and crashed and broke a rib. Oh yes, you read that right. So I finally went to the Dr on Monday and he told me I could not work this week after looking at my x-ray, I though I was going to cry. My last week and I cant go to work! Well you probably all know that I dont take direction very well, stayed home two days and went back to work :) With some chemical assistance, I made it through. The last few days we were hard saying goodbye to my friends and fellow summer staff. A lot of tears were shed and hugs exchanged. These people has touched my heart again and I had to leave my heart again in Guatemala. I am on my way home and have been emotionally and physically exhausted for days. I will sleep a lot tomorrow and probably post more experiences and photos maybe tomorrow or Monday. I love you all and thank you for all your support.

Wolverine
Hello, everyone, I hope you are enjoying the wonderful photos in the previous post. Let me fill you in a little. The guy making the crazy face was Carlos, one of the families I stayed with, and he is being "The Wolverine" ohhhhhh, I know you are saying, LOL. the beds are where I have been sleeping however I have been moved and have a new family I have been staying with. They are incredibly nice and I feel very honored to be staying with them, this is their first year hosting missionaries, so I hope I am being a good host daughter. they have three beautiful boys named Ludwin, 9, Alejandro, 3, and Abner, 18 months. the mom's name is Corina and dad is Edwin, it is fun to call them mom and dad because they are my age!
By the way, I am feeling so much better, no more infections or abcessing, so I am good to go. This new team has been so much fun and although they are different from the last team, the differences are great. I am having so much fun encouraging people to seek God in their work and keep in mind that we are ambassadors of Christ and that they may be the only Christ that some people may come into contact with, so represent him proudly!
I have done a lot of shopping and am looking forward to sharing all my stories and presents with you when I get home.
I am sorry to say that I am not homesick at all, I love it so much here and feel as if I am at home here. I know you will understand. I am so in my element and feel such a peace when I am here.
I love you all and thank you for all you support. See you at the end of August.

A day off
so my very first team just left and I was sad to see them go, so many awesome memoreies already. I have a few days off before the next team arrives on Monday night and then back to work. I have been sick for about a week and have had a spider bite get infected and abcess and a bacterial infection and a parasite infections. I have been sleeping for about a week. Today I finally wanted to get out of bed and do something so I went out to lunch and running a few errands in Antigua and then home. I am trying to load some new pictures, we will see how they come out. I miss you all and thank you for all your support.

Shopping and working
so having a great time in Antigua with the group, shopping a stopping by the internet cafe. Things have been going so well and I can tell lots of people have been praying for me, I can feel God´s presence here in a big way. Thanks to everyone for all their thoughts and prayers. At the current time I am staying at Carlos and Telma´s which is where I got to stay last year, so that has been awesome. Working at the hospital has been good too. We were sitting and reading a children´s bible to some teenage boys and a woman touring the hosptial, stopped and blessed us and said she wanted to encourage everything we were doing and that were changing lives and to keep up the good work. It was so encouraging, thanks God, totally what I needed.

Sarah does Dallas (couldn't help myself)
Well I have arrived safely in Dallas and am waiting for my next flight (6 hours, uuurrrgggg). But I am in high spirits, I had a great flight over and things are going smoothly. I was able to rent a laptop which is cool so I can get online. So I just finished my last meal in America and I decided to have Mexican food, steak tacos, because in Guatemala they do not eat Mexican food, as many think, they eat Guatemala food, OK I'll get off my soap box now :). I made sure to eat steak too, because in Guatemala it all about the chicken. Which its a good thing I like chicken. Well I am so excited and ready to see all God has in store for me. I know it is going to be awesome, why else would he go to all this trouble to get me there.
For those of you who don't know, I was $400 short of raising my trip money and I took my jewelry to work and made $350 and got money from my grandma and all the money is raised. All at the last minute, what a crazy God, he likes to work that way, drives me batty sometimes but makes for some good stories.
I really want to thank everyone for all their support and prayers, I would not be here if you hadn't helped. Thank you for helping me see this dream through and believing that anything is possible.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
